What Is It With Kids And Movie Marathons
Funny thing about kids when it comes to watching movies. They seem to be able to watch the same movie over and over again. I don’t remember ever being like that as a kid, but maybe my memory is just failing. It’s not that I don’t enjoy watching a movie more than once, but I’m pretty selective about what movies I’ll spend extra time with. Maybe it’s an age thing, and I’m being a little more selective about what I spend my time on. My kids however will watch movies online free all day long. I guess it’s just what they like to do. I have done a few movie marathons in my time though. I remember years ago sitting in a theater in Boston, and watching all three episodes of the original Starwars series. That is episodes 4, 5 and 6. And more recently, I bought tickets to watch all the Lord Of The Rings in a row, when the last one hit the theater. 12 hours of movie magic I say
Now, not every movie is going to be a blockbuster, and be worthy of that much attention from me. But, there are still some high quality films that are worth watching. Something that’s a little more dramatic, and with a bit of romance for that significant other in your life would be The Man Who Cried. Not entirely my cup of tea, but I do enjoy a good intelligent mystery when I can find it like with The Weight Of Water. I loved MTV when it launched back in the early eighties, and my fascination with music and video continues to this day. Just check out Center Stage if you want a glimpse of what I mean.
